Friday Challenge #19

I just finished last weeks Friday Challenge at Etsy Cottage Style. We are back to weekly challenges, and are given a week to complete, so I just made it in time before tomorrow's new challenge. I didn't think I would bother this week with little Cooper around but he was so sleepy today, so I put him in his little bed and brought him upstairs, he slept for over an hour :)

The challenge prompt was "hats" and I have always wanted to use this little girl with her big hat, she looks a lot like one of my nieces when she was younger, so I started with her. I chalked her a bit to bring out the image, her dress, her cheeks and lips, and I shaded around her with black chalk after I was complete. I used my gold leaf pen yet again around the edge and also on the flowers and leaves, I love how it gives it more dimension.

Creativity put on hold

I suddenly decided I needed more work and less sleep. Well not exactly but here is why :) I would like you to meet Cooper our new fur baby. He is 8 1/2 weeks old and has been with us for 3 days now and made himself quite at home already. He is a Morkie, which is a mixture of a Yorkie and a Maltese.

Of course my husband had to give him a soccer ball, since soccer has been a passion and still is all his life.

He is napping quite often but not for long periods, so it's the only time I can do anything right now and I mean "anything"

He is only 2lbs at the moment and will be quite small when full grown but he has big paws so I am thinking around 10lbs. I have picked up my knitting needles and started on a little sweater for him, he needs it if we go out :) I just love him to bits and he loves us to bits, I just forgot how much work it was having a new puppy after having Andy our Golden Retriever for 12 years.

I plan to have him in my studio when he is sleeping starting tomorrow, I have to puppy safe it first because I have lots of things in baskets etc on the ground. Wish me luck :)

ATC for Fun Friday Challenge

The last weeks challenge at ECS for our Fun Friday Challenge was to express what Fall means to us. I love Fall colors, I love nature and when it is cold outside like it is right now here I feel like "nesting", getting nice and cozy, taking care of my home and just enjoying having more time inside to be creative :) So I made an ATC with some digital art from Digital Collage Sheets.com expressing how the season is for me.
